OVERVIEW

With the history of professional surfing in Huntington Beach dating back to 1959, the US Open of Surfing is recognized as the largest action sports festival in the world.

Entertaining over 370,000+ spectators, the nine-day event spans across 13 acres of beach and showcases the world’s best action sports talent in surfing, skateboarding and BMX. Where culture meets competition, fans of all ages can engage with activations that include art installations, creative workshops, music listening lounges and lessons, action sports camps & clinics, beach clean-ups, surfboard & gear swap, and more.

The color bands were inspired by so cal summers at the beach. A simple design was created to deliver consistent bold bright energy across all media sizes.

With on-beach experiences like Nitro Circus, live music, food trucks, games, and shopping, our “Unleash Your Summer” campaign focused on driving attendance from LA, OC, and SD through a mix of print, digital, radio, and OOH media.
